Customer Account – Open a New Account

In the WHM system, under Accounts Fuctions click Create a New Account:

Customer Account - Open a New Account

This option will display the Create New Client Account page in your Reseller account.
First, we will provide information about the domain that will be hosted in the resler program:

Customer Account - Open a New Account

  • Domain name: no www and no https: //, but only a domain name, for example: yourdomain.com
  • Username: The username that will be used for signing in to the cPanel of the domain and the FTP account.
  • Password, Password Confirmation: The password will be used for entering cPanel of the domain and the FTP account. Password strength will be displayed on a scale between 0-100, and it is better to use the password generator to create a strong and unusual password.
  • Email Address: This address will send access information to the cPanel system of the domain and FTP account. In the event that the reseller gives the customer access to cPanel, the customer’s email address must be entered in this field. If the reseller does not give the customer access to cPanel, please enter the email address of the reseller.

In the second step, we associate the customer’s account with one of the hosting packages we’ve set up previously:

Customer Account - Open a New Account

In the third and final step, we’ll verify DNS settings for the domain and approve creating a new client account:

Customer Account - Open a New Account

The default DNS address for the domain is the private DNS addresses of the owner of the domain. If you wish to use the domain’s DNS addresses as defined by the domain registrar where you purchased the domain, please check the checkbox next to the sentence:
Use the nameservers specified at the Domain’s registrar

[ Selecting this option means that the domain’s DNS will not be redirected to the private DNS of the reseller! ]

The default Mail Routing Settings is for managing the domain’s email accounts on the server (at the expense of the hosting space allocated in the hosting package). You can now leave this option as it is and if your domain’s email accounts are migrated to Google Apps or any other external mail server, you must change the selection to Remote Mail Exchanger.
